One of the most cost effective and popular methods for flooring a marquee, coconut matting brings an attractive look to any event. We would recommend however that coconut matting is not used when covering hard surfaces as it proves difficult to affix to the floor. We would also recommend wooden floor if the drainage of the ground is poor.
Wood Flooring & Carpet
Wooden floor is the ideal flooring in winter conditions as this provides insulation as well as stability. Wood floor may also be necessary on hard standing ground, particularly if the marquee is to be erected in rainy conditions. Wooden floor is raised approx 3 inches therefore prevent ground level water from getting into the marquee.
N.B. Wood floor is not a display floor and is used as the base to lay the carpet of your choice.
Carpet has the best effect when laid onto a wooden floor which is recommended but it can also be fitted onto a ground sheet as a more cost effective option. Please note that if the ground is not totally dry then carpet without wooden floor could still get wet. If your ground has bad drainage then we strongly advise putting wooden floor down first. We have over 42 different colours of carpet to choose from, please see below for a selection of our range:
