Transport:No transport charge is applicable for marquee jobs based within 30 miles of our warehouse in Ascot, Berkshire.
For jobs that fall outside ofour area a transport charge will be calculated based on the amount of vehiclesrequired to carry equipment and the number of staff required to travel to siteover the time the journey takes.
All charges will be suppliedwith the original quote providing the correct address is provided.
Extended Hire:Our Hire Price is based on a 1-2 Hire of a Marquee and/or furniture hire. If you require a longer period of hire than an extended hire charge will be applied.
The extended hire charge is at a reduced rate from the initial marquee hire and so can be a very cost effective way to hire a marquee if you are planning to hold a long event or more than one event.
Weekend Delivery or Collection: If a weekend delivery or collection is specifically requested by a customer, the following charges apply to cover the labour costs for unsociable hours:
Saturday delivery or collection 10% of the total Marquee Hire
Sunday delivery or collection 15% or the total Marquee Hire
Typically, we will deliver and collect a marquee during the weekday (our standard working hours) even ifan event is being held over the weekend.
If, for logistical reasons we choose to deliver or collect your marquee over the weekend, the weekend charges do not apply.
Specific delivery or collection times: If our staff our required outside of usual working hours then an additional rate may be applied to cover the labour costs for unsociable hours. When booking a marquee with Marquees Direct we will always provide these costs at time of booking provided that the specific times are provided when the quote is produced.
Weighting/Drilling:If a marquee is to be erected on a hard standing surface. Weighting or Drilling may be required to hold the marquee to the surface.
Weights are charged at £10 per leg.
Drilling is also chargeable at £10 leg.
If a 30’ x 30’ Marquee were to be erected on a hard standing surface 12 weights would be required as there are 12 x 10ft legs required to construct the marquee.
Weighting is charged as it extends the time and labour required to perform a job and our standard pricing without weighting does not cover these costs.
Extension Legs and Long Walls: For complex jobs where the marquee needs to be erected over a number of different heights/surfaces,extension legs or long walls may be required to build the marquee. For jobs of this type we will inspect the site to ascertain what equipment is required anda full quote will be provided before time of booking.
As with weighting, adding extension legs and long walls extends the time and labour to perform a job andour standard pricing without weighting does not cover these costs.
Excess Carry: We request that our customers provide sufficient access to the Marquee site of under 20m. If access from our vehicles to the Marquee site is over 20m then an excess carry charge may be applied. As with transport this is dependent on the size of the equipment and the number of staff on site required to carry the equipment.
Delays: If a job is delayed when our Marquee erectors arrive on-site we may charge for excess delays. The figure will be based on the number of staff delayed over the time delayed. |
