Our offices are staffed from 8am until 6pm Monday to Friday and our answer machine has 2 out of hours emergency phone numbers. Unlike other Marquee companies we answer our telephones and return voice messages.
3- Does the Marquee Company provide other services that will be helpful?
We have a wide range of additional hire services to compliment your event and we are continually adding to them with new and exciting products including different pvc options, unique interior linings, special themes, custom designed printing special lighting effects and more. We also work with many suppliers to help us provide as many services as possible
4- If I hire a Marquee am I getting good value?
Marquees Direct aim is to be the best value Marquee hire company. We are continuously comparing our prices to other marquee companies and we can always match or beat any quotes using comparable quality equipment.

There are 2 emergency phone numbers and always somebody available however many procedures are in place to prevent there being any problems and there are always solutions at hand

Marquees direct prides itself at high standards and competitive prices. Our equipment is regularly cleaned, refurbished and replaced unlike most other marquee companies.
10- Is the marquee company well staffed or am I relying on a couple of people remaining well, healthy, and in a position to fulfil my order?
Marquees Direct has plenty of permanent staff and contractors which are kept in work throughout the year so that we always have highly experienced staff at hand. At time of writing (2011) over 50% of our staff have been with us for years, some over 6 years. We always aim to keep slightly more staff on than needed in case there are any challenges.
The Marquees and related hire equipment
1- Are Marquees waterproof?
Unlike some marquee suppliers our marquees are manufactured with waterproof pvc which is easily repairable should it get any tears. In winter months the marquees can sometimes get a little bit of condensation inside so we recommend having heaters to dry this out. If your venue has sloping ground or doesn’t drain very well then water may get underneath the marquee so we recommend hiring a wooden floor which is slightly raised.
2- Do the Marquees stand up to the weather including strong winds and the winter?
Yes we use special marquees which are designed for all year use. They are made to withstand strong winds up to 60 miles an hour however we do make risk assessments to the best we can and will always advise accordingly. The marquees are not built for heavy snow loading but this can be prevented by heating the marquee appropriately
3- Are the Marquees fire retardant?
Yes, to required standards
4- Are the Marquees modern free standing structures or are they traditional Marquees that require guy ropes and centre poles?
Yes the marquees are clear span modern structures
5- Does the Marquee Company have a wide selection of marquee sizes and will they be able to fit my needs?
Yes Marquees Direct can build 3m, 6m, 9m, 12m and 15m widths and any lengths in multiples of 3m. We also have some 1.5m extension bays
6- Can I view a Marquee before I hire a marquee?
Yes Marquees direct have various venues where you can view our marquees. We also have show days where you can view our Marquees and other services. Please ask the office team for further details.

Marquees Direct was established in 1999/2000 and has been growing each year. One of the company’s aims is to continuously improve so you are definitely in good hands.
